Summer Comics Review!

Summer Comics Review!
This summer I read many comics in the form of collected graphic novels, 55 be exact. Most of these are Marvel and DC superhero books, but I've read others that aren't. Not all of these are new in fact most aren't it's just what I've read, if you have any recommendations put them in the comments. I'm only going to be discussing a few, sorted into several categories. I'm doing the oscars.Start.

Best Avengers Book
Uncanny Avengers Vol.1
By Gerry Duggan
This book forges a team of Inhumans and mutants onto the avengers, when the two sides are warring. And it shows really good how they go together and it is very funny and really lit.

Best X-Men Book
All-New X-Men Vol.1&2
By Brian Michael Bendis
It brings the original team of young X-men to the future. It does really well of establishing the X-Men team as well as basically being one of the best X-Men books ever and a must read.

Best Batman Book
Batman Vol.1 (New 52 2011) court of owls
By Scott Snyder
This is the only dc comic I've talked in this, but I read a lot of them mostly batman. I also read the new rebirth batman run thus far and it was a big contender. But the court of owls is a superb batman story that will go down as a classic in batman comics.

Best Spider-Man Book
Spider-Verse: Warzones
By Mike Costa
This is a spinoff of the spider-verse event, but it's better. It does it's good in following Peter Porker, Spider-Ham, who is awesome by the way. Give him his own series! But it actually follows some awesome other characters as well such as spider-gwen, it has the og spider but they give him just enough time to be good.

Best Independent Book
Amazing, Fantastic, Incredible
By Stan Lee
This one barely counts considering Stan Lee is basically synonymous with Marvel but it's not published by them and it's not about superheroes so it does. It's actually an autobiography in comic form of Stan Lee. It's great that really delves into the business side of what Stan did and is also funny.

Top 3.
3. Champions (2016) Vol.1
By Mark Waid
Synopsis: Champions is a revamped marvel team of younger superheroes after Civil War 2 that try to be better than the avengers.
Thots: ha lol thot gotem. But really I like this comic because it has all of my favorite new heroes that I've been reading and moves them together without the divide that was in the avengers book before this.

2. Star Wars (Marvel 2015) Vol 1&2 By Jason Aaron
Synopsis: Follows the what's popping with the og star wars crew in between episode 4 and 5.
Thoughts: This was an absolutely amazing comic. It is everything great about Star Wars put into this comic. It really is almost number one and with over fity graphic novels that lots. Just baller adventures with so much grand lore to explore deplore.

1. Ms. Marvel (2013) Vol.1-6
By G Willow Wilson
Synopsis: This is about Muslim girl, Kamala Khan in Jersey City who becomes an Inhuman and becomes Ms Marvel.
Thoughts: I thought it was absolutely wonderful. It displays the muslim culture so well and hits so many funny and great moments while it's at it. But the most important thing is while i read so many comics this one showed the most creativity and was so fresh and the best thing I read.

  1. Very comprehensive overview. Do you buy all of these or do you get them at the library?
