Star Wars Battlefront II Inferno Squad Book Review

Star Wars Battlefront II Inferno Squad Book Review
Inferno squad by Christie Golden is a tie in prequel novel to the upcoming video game battlefront 2 of course both take place in the star wars galaxy. It follows the imperial group Inferno Squad as they infiltrate the rebel group, the dreamers. The main character is Iden Versio whose father is an imperial admiral an the person responsible for Inferno Squad. This book also has a lot of parallels with the tie in book for the first battlefront game, Twilight Company by Alexander Freed, which is about a similar group of people on the other side of the war them being with the rebel alliance. Both books wonderfully model the Battlefront games through how they show just a team of people that are just a small part of the war but have big stories. What I liked about the book was how well it conveyed the characters and showed what was going on in the story. It was a really well written aspect in which you would be following one character and due to all the characters being in the same place for most of the book you would casually get caught up on their story as well. This made it easy for the book to avoid having unnecessary side stories which is a big problem with lots of star wars books. There were some other problems with this one though as in some actual spelling and grammar errors which made me lol and reminded me of my own blogg. At only 307 pages it comes in as the shortest canon star wars novel, which would be fine expect for that there is a big part of the book which is referenced, I just wish that we could have seen that part in the story. This book really succeeds in having great Imperial main characters that are relatable even though a lot of the time you know they are being bad. Overall this was i great novel that ties into Star Wars perfectly and makes me super excited for Battlefront 2. I would rate it a 9.5/10. Stay connected!
